This book is a mind bender. Truly I absolutely loved this love story. This is a story of Tessa and Charlie. Best friends since elementary school, who eventually developed feelings for one another. Yet, neither of them ever knew. After high school, Tessa finds herself losing time, not understanding what is going on just thinking its anxiety or amnesia. So, Tessa runs...she thinks it better to leave her family and Charlie and not cause them any further hurt.

Five years later, Tessa has received help and finally understands what she is dealing with. She is diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. Tessa finds a doctor who specializes with this and its actually back in her home town. So she heads home to face her family and the man who she has been in love with since fifth grade, her best friend Charlie.

Charlie is an incredible man. Definitely a book boyfriend. He is loyal and determined. He has loved his best friend Tessa for years. He has never found the courage to tell her yet with her returning he will not let anything hold him back. Seeing Tessa again the spark and connection is still there. He sees the battle that she is facing and the fear of being a burden to those around her, yet he will not let anything scare him away.

How can you control who you love? If you truly love someone you love all of them, even the "damaged" parts. You stand by them through each and every up and down.
Jessica was able to show all of this in this novel. She shows you that love is strong enough to face any challenges. I love how she has Charlie as a fighter. This to me shows how determined he is. It shows his character and the fact that he will be facing a battle for the one he loves yet doesn't fear it at all.

I have never read anything like this before. Its a definite breathe of fresh air. I would highly recommend this book and author. Like I said Jessica Wilde is phenomenal!!

I wasn't exactly sure how I was going to feel about this book. I downloaded it and then It took me about a week to actually start reading it, when I did...omfg I'm in love with this book I can honestly say that it is my new favorite. There were parts to make me laugh cry scream and want to chuck my kindle out the window (luckily I didn't). I was scared to read it because I thoughf it would end up like a love triangle between Tess and her alters but luckily that never happened. That ending was amazing and I can't wait to read more from this author.
A beautiful storyline. We all need to see how lucky we are. Everyone has some kind of hiccup. Something that is just a little off. We are not perfect, only Christ is perfect. Just like Charlie, God Loves us just the same. All of our quirks. I would LOVE to see this book made into a movie. Thank you for this inspiring book.
My first time reading a Jessica Wilde book, but I can safely say I am an instant fan. Incredible writing, fascinating subject, and wonderful love story. The amount of research she must have done for this is admirable. Most authors shy away from mental illness or they handle it so wrong. She handled it with beautifully and dignity. Highly recommend.
This is a book unlike any that I have read before. The main conflict is not actually between Charlie and Tessa, they have each been in love with other for a very long time. The conflict is more about Tessa gaining control of her life and learning to deal with her alters. Charlie is kind of a push over when it comes to Tessa, but it was good to read their story. The secondary characters were also very well written.
This was a really great and thoughtful read. Dissociative Identity Disorder is no joke, and I think the author handled everything about it quite well. I liked Tessa, I felt for her. I can't even imagine what her life must have been like, to have to make the decision that she did. And Charlie, what a guy. He definitely deserves book boyfriend status. I love how the book was executed, how different things were unveiled over time, gaps in Tessa's memory due to the dissociation. And I just loved Charlie and Tessa together. This was a super sweet story and definitely worth a read!
This was a beautiful story. This book is about Tess who had a few alter egos and Charlie who,loved her and all the other girls that came along with her. Charlie has loved Tess for over 15 years and she loved him that long too. They were best friends and were cautious because they weren't sure they could be better n a relationship and the threat to damage their friendship. But sometimes you just need to do what you need to do. Take a chance!
This was a great story and I am so glad I came across it and read it. I highly recommend this book!!
Holy cow! This book was unlike anything I had ever read. I was so intrigued with the story line of a girl with DID trying attempting to have the love everyone dreamed of. I had formulated all the possible things that could happen with this kind of story line but what actually happened made for the perfect story.
I do wish there was another one.. one that I can get to know the characters a little more and to see the process that happened between the final chapter and the epilogue, there I think it fell a little short after all the extensive doctor talk in the first half of the book.
But I would definitely recommend this book. I found it very difficult to put down and enjoyed every minute of this story.
